CUES is an evidence-based intervention for addressing domestic violence in health settings. Utilizing a universal education approach, CUES equips healthcare professionals to talk with all their patients about the elements of healthy and unhealthy relationships, the impacts of violence on health, health promotion strategies, and local resources. The CUES intervention reduces disclosure barriers, provides preventive education to patients, supports stronger relationships between healthcare organizations and community-based domestic violence programs, and improves health and safety outcomes for survivors.
